ESSENTIAL OILS
Thyme.
Warm, sharp and herbaceous — the most potent oil in the range.
Thyme is small but mighty. The herb has been valued since antiquity — the Greeks burned it as incense, and the name itself traces back to a word for courage. It's distilled from the leaves and flowers of Thymus vulgaris, native to the Mediterranean, and its warm, sharp, deeply herbaceous scent comes largely from thymol, one of the most powerful compounds in the essential-oil world. Ours is grown and distilled on the farm: nothing added, nothing hidden.
It's a kitchen-and-cupboard workhorse. Reach for it to freshen the air with a warm, herby lift, add to natural surface sprays, or bring a clean note to a homemade room blend. Thyme is genuinely strong, though — always dilute it well for the skin, patch test first, and it's best skipped during pregnancy.
Good to know: a drop or two is truly all you need — thyme is one of the most concentrated oils there is, and it overpowers a blend fast. Treat it like a strong spice: easy to add, impossible to take back out.
