ESSENTIAL OILS

Rose Geranium.

Rosy and green, with a soft minty lift — the gentlest floral we grow.

This is the local one. The Pelargonium genus is native to South Africa — so we're growing it where it belongs. It's distilled from the leaves of Pelargonium graveolens, and its rosy, green scent, with that faint minty lift, comes from geraniol and citronellol. Ours is grown and distilled on the farm: nothing added, nothing hidden.

It's the quiet multitasker of the range. Reach for it to balance oily and combination skin, calm and steady the mind, or add a few drops to a natural perfume blend. The same compounds that give it its scent can be sensitising for some, so dilute it well and patch test before regular use.

Good to know: stir a single drop into a teaspoon of carrier oil or your unscented moisturiser for a gentle, rosy facial oil — its balancing character makes it a quiet favourite for combination skin.
